Copies of police crime reports are available to the public at the front desk of
the Police Department, located at the corner of 10th and Texas Avenue.
You may also get a copy of a crime report over the Internet using this site -
see the following instructions to get started.
Please note: Crime Reports do not include traffic accident reports.
To obtain a copy of a traffic accident report, you must request and pay for a
copy of an Accident Report at the Police Records public counter, located at 916
Texas Avenue (the corner of 10th and Texas Avenue). The Records Section
public counter is open between 9:00am and 5:00pm Monday through Friday, except
for authorized City holidays.
Crime Reports Online is not to be used for open records requests. Reports
are only available online for 1995 to the present. Crime reports prior to
that may be obtained by submitting a request at the Police Records public
counter, located at 916 Texas Avenue.
You may request up to 10 crime reports over the Internet per day. This
limitation is to help prevent a drain on our computer resources, which would
occur with a high volume of frivolous use, yet it will still provide citizens
of Lubbock the convenience of obtaining a copy of their crime reports without
having to travel to the Police Administration building. You may always
obtain additional crime reports at the front desk of the Police Administration
building, 10th and Texas.
You must have a logon ID and password to request crime reports over the
Internet. This requires that you provide a valid e-mail address.
Your e-mail address will be used to keep track of the number of Internet Crime
Report requests received per day and will be kept confidential. See
terms of use
for additional information. If you already have a logon ID, please click
the 'Logon' button to continue to the Crime Reports Request form, or if you
don't have a logon ID and password yet, follow this link to
sign up.
